Aleah Ava is a firm believer that as a professional in the self-help and life coaching industry, it is her duty to adhere to solid standardized ethical guidelines when providing products and services to her clients.

For that reason, Aleah’s work and approach align with EFC (Ethics for Coaching), a regulatory and oversight board within The Safe Space(TM) Institute. The EFC clarifies and oversees the standards of care applicable to the life and business coaching industry.

The Safe Space Institute has issued an Ebook discussing the 4 Pillars of Ethical Coaching(TM), which Aleah has read and applies to her work and this website.

These guidelines aim to offer “ethical coaching and counseling as personal/professional growth achieved in a safe and inclusive space that minimizes harm, reduces conflict of interest, and protects consumer rights” (The 4 Pillars Of Ethical CoachingTM, purpose of resource).

Aleah prioritizes clients’ interests above her own and takes actions guided by their values, not her own.
Aleah aims to offer ethical marketing that uses honest, fair, and transparent language without manipulation, coercion, or misleading information.
Aleah ensures informed consent, providing clients with a clear understanding of what they will receive, potential risks, and how those risks will be mitigated.
Aleah presents realistic outcomes, refraining from overpromising and being transparent about real results.
Aleah does not exploit the base-rate fallacy, avoiding overemphasizing the success of a select few.
Aleah discloses costs upfront to maintain a balance of power.
Aleah provides transparency of deliverables, clearly outlining what will be delivered and how it will be delivered.
Aleah creates an emotionally and psychologically safe coaching environment, seeking continued peer consultation and support.
Aleah’s approach is consistently trauma-sensitive. Having extensively addressed her own trauma, she empathetically works with clients’ window of tolerance, supporting them in achieving nervous system co-regulation and preventing re-triggering of underlying trauma when they experience emotional overwhelm.
Prospective clients for 1:1 mentorship or high-proximity/group containers are required to fill out a safety-focused questionnaire. The questionnaire aims to understand the prospective client’s situation and address potential safety concerns. It collects information about their current finances, living situation, mental health, and support system to ensure that their needs are properly addressed. Aleah ensures their needs are addressed properly and redirects them to licensed professionals if necessary.
Aleah is committed to creating an inclusive environment where all individuals feel valued and respected, regardless of their race, gender identification, sexual orientation, age, physical ability, education level, country of origin, ethnicity, and religion.
Aleah maintains a strong commitment to self-awareness, ensuring that her own biases, attitudes, assumptions, stereotypes, and prejudices do not impact the quality of care she provides. While perfection is impossible, she continually educates herself and seeks input from peers and mentors to uphold integrity and intention.
Aleah provides contracts explicitly stating included activities, teachings, and practices, along with delivery methods.
Client privacy is strictly maintained, and no identifying information is disclosed to third parties without explicit client permission. Only Aleah, her mentor, and occasionally her partner (for accountability) have access to session information, with confidentiality upheld. However, in case of emergencies where there is a threat to client’s well-being or others, confidentiality may be broken.
